Inmaculada Lara Cepeda, «Maku» (1978), is an interdisciplinary visual artist—sculptor, performer, poet, and educator—whose practice is grounded in solid higher academic training in Fine Arts. Based between Spain and Germany and a member of the BBK Berlin, her work bridges the gap between the permanence of monumental public sculpture and the immediacy of performance art. Driven by a strong social commitment, Maku explores complex themes such as identity construction, anthropological memory, and cultural integration. Her multicultural projects fuse artistic creation with pedagogy, using both material and the body to generate critical dialogue on contemporary realities.
